“gets 4G coverage”.. it’s really crazy that a line opened 2 years (?) ago doesn’t have it from the beginning😂
Wow, so modern! We truly are Great Britain 😭
Britain’s? Gives the impression it has the reach of HS2
Better than my house then. Since they switched off 3g my phone goes into emergency calls only dozens of times a day.
Msg: ‘Going to be late I’m on the Elizabeth line’
Yay, now we can get uninterrupted tiktoks on loudspeakers for the _whole_ of our journey!
Shouldn’t we be rolling out 5G for capacity given the volume of people in the tunnels? 😂😂
At this point why wouldn’t you just roll out 5G directly?
Just 4G?
4G but no working signals
Why not 5G? We really are ridiculously unambitious.
Could we maybe spend some of all our money on the railway NOT in London? I’m sure having actual trains running is more important than letting Londoners check their Facebook whilst underground for 15 minutes?
Isn’t signalling the main issue on the line?
Came here to see inevitable complaints and whining about something nobody had five minutes ago, was not disappointed
Literally underground, in a train, has better signal than where I live in London. Great job.
** laughs in we’ve had 5G on our metro for several years **
So now we’ll just have a train full of people talking loudly on their phones? Thank god for noise cancelling ear buds.
London is a joke, 4g in 2025 when east Asia has 5g everywhere, this is what happens when the UK gov listen to the US and ban huawei. 🤣🤣
I note that they’ve quietly updated the website to not say that all lines should have coverage by the end of 2024. I mean with so little updates I wasn’t expecting it but still slightly disappointing.
I’m just being greedy want the rest of the Jubilee line covered. Met line would be good too (it’s practically a 3 lines for 1!)
Such a massive irony that you get better signal in London under the ground that at ground level.
Nonetheless, this is very good news!
Laughs in Ealing Broadway
Loads of lines with signal now, as I don’t have EE for the WiFi it’s made getting around town, using Citymapper and Google Maps in real time so much easier.
Absolutely no way I’d use it to do voice calls though, don’t on any public transport, that’s as obnoxious as listening to music/TikTok on speaker.

Please do the district line next 😂
