Its things like this that seem to explain A LOT about the choices being made in this country recently
Lead exposure is one of the most insidious, toxic and irreversible effects on children’s mental development.
To this day, it can be found in older buildings, paint and plastics are some of the ways children can still be exposed.
Explains all the Republicans
Today’s addition of finding data for your a priori conclusions. The authors have no expertise in toxicology, public health, or population level health studies.
What generational cohort did we compare genx too? The one prior with no mental health histories and a higher and different toxic burden, Or the one after, with no lead exposure, that definitely seems to have mental health issues of their own.
We say no level of lead is safe because it is a toxicant of antiquity AND IT IS AN ORPHAN TOXICANT.
in fact, thresholds for adverse health outcomes from lead exposure exist, saying no level is safe is technically inaccurate. We say it because no one is around that wants to push back. -A. Molecular toxicologist
“The new study has some big limitations. For instance it relies on very strong correlational evidence as a proxy for causational studies and it formally evaluates just a handful of datasets. Plus, by focusing on the role of leaded gasoline alone, it ignores other potential sources of childhood lead exposure like paint dust and drinking water”
Lead pipes! Brought down the Roman Empire, not bringing down the Americans!
Can’t wait to see them bring back leaded gas! I hope I’m joking…
