  18. The amount of pro-Russian Germans scares me for the future of Germany. The Germans like to pretend that the Soviets and later Russians didn’t totally destroy and rape millions of Germans and they keep trying to be allies and friends. Like when are Germans going to wake up from the horrors of the Holocaust and remember the horrors of the Soviet Red Army all in which happened a lot more recently than the Holocaust. It’s a bad omen for the country of thinkers and philosophers when Communism destroyed and ruined their country and now when the enemy is once again at the gates they try and pretend that its not the same enemy. The Russians might not be communists any more but they are still just as much as a horrendous war crime frenzied army. What will stop the Russians from doing the same thing they did in East Prussia to Germans. What will stop the Russians from cutting up East Germany into tiny Communist hell holes where they live under Stasi control.

    This constant appeasement to Russia reminds me very much of the British stance to Hitler in 1936 when Hitler took Czechoslovakia. The Germans need to wake up from this self-hatred and rebuild into a new German army. There is no Prussia, there is no Kaiser, and there is certainly not a Hitler left in Germany. It’s time to think logically not worried of some bygone era, some relic of the past rising up out of the shadows to take control of Germany.

  32. Russia can’t even take on Ukraine. They have no chance of fighting in Ukraine, dabbling in Syria, *and* actually take on NATO/Western powers.

    This is all just posturing.

    They are entirely cognizant of, and reliant upon, Western aversion to escalation. It allows him to puff their chest and do these kinds of things, knowing that they get to look tough and get the last word in while Western powers do everything they can to de-escalate.
