I was born in Nov 52.Not surprisingly my lungs 🫁 are knackered 😂👀
Asked my Grandad about this one..
Said he knew a guy who was training for a run when the smog hit. He was insistent on continuing his training regime and when for runs through the smog.
He was dead a few weeks later according to Grandad
Good old days of proper pollution, not this woke clean air nonsense.
The Crown depicted it quite well I thought.
Next time you see people rooting for those tearing down ULEZ cameras, remember this: Many who criticize government overreach are benefiting from the very privileges regulations provide. Never take for granted the work of environmental activists fighting for clean air, safe food, and drinkable water.
My old dad said his dad was a trolleybus driver and they ended with a guide with a lamp walking in front because visibility was so poor.
In my day, breathing smog would be a luxury, I didn’t breathe until I was six!
Claims are between 4000 and 10,000. Dude adds them together and goes 14,000 dead
We used to be a proper country.
Compare New Delhi in the last few weeks. My work colleagues are struggling to breathe.
The Crown S1 E4 : Act of God, did a good job portraying this for anyone so inclined.
poor people would go out and cut pieces of the smoke to make their beef dripping bread slices taste like BBQ
You should try the tube, it’s like that picture most days
How did so many die? Did they die from lack of oxygen? Why such a broad death estimate, was it dubious what caused the deaths of the contested six thousand?
What was the time frame for the deaths, was it in one week or a month or two? It couldn’t be over a night right that would be crazy.
