My friend is a GP in Blackpool. A lot of his patients are Glasweigan. So they are just moving before they die young.
wonder how granular the statistics are. Glasgow is ofc a much bigger place than Blackpool, and there’s a great deal of local variation.

We joke about this but it’s sad maybe that’s part of the problem. Almost all of the worst life expectancies in the UK are in the area around Glasgow. Drugs booze and crap food. You can’t blame the climate – Cork in Ireland has a life expectancy of 84 and has a similar climate and Ireland doesn’t have universal healthcare.
