Guten Morgen dear Redditors.
Since a few weeks I am living in my new apartment in Cologne.
Now I am in the mission of building my kitchen and I have a big question before I call my certified electrician (to connect my hob + oven to electricity because it is mandatory to connect it with a certified electrician).
Is there any rule to keep a minimum distance from this connector to my oven frame (the connector in the lower right corner)?
I want to make my appointment with the electrician successful.

(Not a certified electrician, so take this with a grain of salt)
No, I have set up a number of kitchens where the distance was like that or shorter, that is not a problem. Wasn’t a problem for the electrician either if one came. Also, good on you for being a law-abiding citizen and calling an electrician….
Usually you will find a service manual with the oven about all measurements.
The connector is really flat, like 1-2 cm. I’d say it is fine, but you will only know for sure, if the electrician was there.
Depending on the oven, you will need an additional socket installed. They exist as one combined device or two separate. If you can set the stove from the oven, you ware fine with the one that can be seen there. If not, you may need an additional socket, because the oven has an extra power cord.
And in addition: You didn’t show the countertop from above, but it’s an extremely good idea to make sure the countertop-wall connection is watertight. There are cover strips (“Abdeckleiste”) for that, plus silicone in the gap first.
You don’t want to spill something on the countertop and get into the electric connection (nor do you want to clean up behind the whole thing).
Im an azubi as an electrician and i can tell you that there is no required distance for this stuff, i occasionally help with ovens and we normally just take a longer cable if we need to
The only mandatory thing is that the Herdanschlussleitung must have a cross section of 2.5mm² for each word wire. Typically you get a 5×2.5mm² one.
Standard lengths include 5m, which is convenient for a distance of maybe 3.5m. The appliance is typically installed while it’s still sitting outside the cabinet, so you need a bit of extra length for that.
Other standard lengths are 1.5m (for installation pretty close to the Herdanschlussdise), 3m and 10m. An electrician can also easily build a cable with any length of up to 200m – but at that distance, you’ll have a significant voltage drop when you operate the stone at full power. I’d recommend a larger cross section when exceeding 30m. At 100m 5×2,5mm², the oven will operate, but only at about 81% of its nominal power. At 30m, it’s still 94%.
Note that the distance is measured from the fuse box. If your oven is 50m away from the connector, you must be living in a very large building.
Just tell the electrician how far away you want to have the oven and the stove installed, plus that bit of extra length so the rear of the oven can be comfortably accessed.
If you don’t want the stove directly above the oven, you might Need a control cable extension from the manufacturer.
There are also standalone stoves which are concerned independently from the oven. If that’s the case, tell the electrician as well
