  2. Marriages tend to suffer after the kids have become adults. You would think going through so much together would bring you together but it doesn’t. 20-30 years of fights and worrying about the kids just leads to trauma.

  3. Don’t know about Americans, but across Europe I see men in their fifties choosing to go single after the kids are out of the house. 

    I personally know at least half a dozen guys who have had it planned for a decade. This is usually combined with a plan to step out of the corporate world and slow down doing something they actually enjoy. 

  4. Masculine women, social media travelism/materialism, and rationing “it”, guys have had enough. Pay for yourself, you ain’t 20, it ain’t 20.

  7. I can why : You have spent years compromising and dealing with kids antics to the point your just wiped out and want to spend the last years you have happy

  8. Separate bedrooms, sexless, porn partners, less time on a 1 time clock..you do the math!

  10. Menopause / change of life, sexless marriages cause this. When the kids are gone nothing is left to keep them together.
    There better be a reason to stay together. If not people are going to go look for it.
