I’m new to Tampere, and I’ve noticed very long queues of people quite often. What are these for, especially around Metso Area? by FininFin Tags:finland 9 comments [https://tampereenseurakunnat.fi/tukea_ja_apua/ruoka-apu](https://tampereenseurakunnat.fi/tukea_ja_apua/ruoka-apu) Its this. Food-aid for the poor. Food queue/line? 🙁 Is that a cemetary? Something related to Indepedence day maybe? We Finns do like to queue for various stuff for sure. It’s a minimum effort social acitivity 😀 Free buckets? /s It’s a queue for free surplus food provided by Red Cross of Finland. The picture is from the cemetery/park next to Alexander Church. Yeah Finland 2024, people still need to stand in line for food like some soviet country. GG. At first I thought it was a joke like “People are being buried while waiting in line in Finland” They are waiting for someone to bring a shovel. If you see a queue, you get on it! There might be a free bucket at the end… /j Comments are closed.
