  1. It’s because there are less diversity in names in some circle than others. No, that doesn’t mean that the majority of babies who were born are from muslim families

  2. We shouldn’t be racist or hateful. But we should be less tolerant towards people that do not want to integrate at any cost.

  3. Why are almost all Arabic people named “Muhammed” or “Muhammad”

  4. Because most Muslim born boys get Muhammad as first name and their actual used name as second name

  5. This is BS, it’s been the most popular for yrs if you count the spelling variations.

  6. I would have sworn I’ve read it was the most popular baby name for a few years now

  7. Not a problem, most popular name in Saudi Arabia are now Matt, George and Jeff.

  8. I think that the UK has had all variations of Muhammed being the number 1 since at least 2010. However there’s about 18 different ways to spell Muhammed using the Latin alphabet. This is just the first time that one particular spelling, rather than grouping all of the different spellings together has made it to number 1.

  9. Catastrophic decline of European culture and identity. Diversity that caused less divesity. Bloody brilliant.

  10. Those who want this to happen do not truly understand what Islam really is, and they will deeply regret it in the future. The worst part is that the next generation will have to deal with this, even though they currently have no say in these decisions. They will try to fix the mistakes of their elders, but I am not sure if they will succeed. I hope I am wrong, and that the UK and other countries with high levels of immigration do not face the things I fear.

By the way, I don’t want this to be interpreted as an anti-immigration comment. I am one of those who believe that immigration, when done with the right system and in the right numbers, is generally a good thing. However, you need to pay attention to whom you accept and how many you take in.

  11. Relax, it’s just the scousers naming their kids after Mo Salah

  12. lol, this feels weird knowing that it’s not even in top 20 here in Turkey, a Muslim majority country.

I can imagine it’s being more common in Arabic communities, though.

  13. There must be more names in the Quran to choose from? Or is it just like how Catholics name seemingly all their girls Mary, because everyone wants that religion’s coolest name?

  14. not only UK. same in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, should i keep going.
