Nestled in the heart of Wenceslas Square, W Prague is a vibrant fusion of Prague’s rich heritage and modern luxury. The hotel honors the storied legacy of its historic predecessor, once a landmark of innovation and a witness to pivotal moments in history. Today, it stands as a beacon of progressive design, offering 161 exquisitely designed guestrooms and suites, including the WOW Bohemia Duplex. Guests will indulge in sophisticated dining and unparalleled experiences, from the signature W Lounge to the Above Rooftop bar, which offers panoramic views of the city’s skyline. W Prague is set to become the new cultural and social hub of the city, redefining what it means to experience luxury in Prague.

“As we debut W Prague, we’re not just opening a new hotel – we are breathing new life into one of the city’s most iconic landmarks,” said George Fleck, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader, W Hotels. “W Prague fuses the enchanted history of the storied destination with bold, visionary design, creating an experience that both honors the city’s deep cultural legacy and embraces its vibrant, modern energy. This opening is a further representation of W Hotels’ momentum in Europe and beyond, setting a fresh standard for what luxury can mean in the heart of such a beloved city.”

W Prague: A Bold Blend of Tradition, Innovation, and Unparalleled Luxury

W Prague, the latest gem in W Hotels’ global collection, brings an extraordinary fusion of tradition and modernity to the Czech capital. A collaboration between world-renowned architects Benoy, the award-winning AvroKO London Studio, and local design experts Chapman Taylor, the hotel has reimagined one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks. Drawing inspiration from the city’s rich cultural heritage and the building’s Art Nouveau roots, W Prague masterfully blends historical elegance with contemporary flair.

The hotel’s design features a sophisticated color palette that reflects the original tones of the heritage building, incorporating earthy shades of yellow, beige, terracotta, dark grey, and a unique green for stucco decorations. As part of the revitalization, a sleek new 9-story elliptical wing designed by DAM Architects brings a modern touch to the hotel’s classic structure, adding a fresh layer of luxury.

Design Inspired by Prague’s Magic

Inspired by the mystical concept of the ‘Elixir,’ which symbolizes a fusion of tradition and innovation, nature and industry, and reality and fantasy, the design of W Prague takes guests on a journey through Prague’s enchanting essence. The theme of the ‘Golden Elixir,’ referring to Prague as the ‘City of Gold,’ is subtly integrated throughout the hotel, from the mesmerizing façade to the stylish communal areas. A key feature of this theme is the W Hotels totem, seamlessly guiding guests from the heritage building to the contemporary wing.

One of the hotel’s standout features is the ‘Fantastical Garden,’ a visually captivating space inspired by the dreamlike art of Czech artist Alphonse Mucha. This whimsical garden extends through both the historic and modern wings, creating an immersive experience that surprises and delights visitors. Guests walk through a stunning corridor adorned with faux embroidery by London’s Adam Ellis Studio, featuring botanical motifs, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies, all complemented by floral chandeliers by Preciosa Lighting.

Unveiling Remarkable Guestrooms and Suites

W Prague offers 161 elegantly appointed guestrooms, including 23 luxurious suites. Each room features striking colors and reflective textures, providing a refined ambiance where modernity and tradition coexist. The E-WOW Suite on the 8th floor perfectly captures the essence of the hotel, with its blend of Art Nouveau influences and contemporary design elements. The WOW Bohemia Duplex, nestled in the heritage wing, showcases restored beams, decorative arch windows, and a rich grenache color palette, offering guests a tranquil retreat with its double-height ceilings and natural light flowing through skylights.

Stunning Art Installations and Cultural Experiences

Art is central to the W Prague experience, with a carefully curated collection designed to spark meaningful connections. Local artists and the Adam Ellis Studio have created several striking installations, including psychedelic wall art at Bisou Bar and a fantastical garden mural by Michael Škapa at the W Lounge Garden. A highlight is the stunning crystal installation by Preciosa Lighting, located in the restored atrium, which celebrates Bohemian heritage through handcrafted crystals that shimmer in a mesmerizing ‘dripping’ effect.

A Culinary Journey Like No Other

W Prague transforms the culinary scene in Prague with a variety of dining venues, each offering a unique experience. The iconic Grand Café, once the hub of social life in the 1920s, is revived with a partnership with Monaco-based restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi. The upscale bistro, Le Petit Beefbar, offers a contemporary twist on traditional steakhouse dining, featuring premium meats and global flavors.

The W Lounge, located in the contemporary wing, serves as the hotel’s social heart, transitioning from a peaceful morning retreat to a lively evening venue. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails and sharing plates while relaxing in the lush W Lounge Garden, a hidden escape from the city. Bisou, a serene space perfect for intimate gatherings, offers coffee, local wines, and champagne.

For a breathtaking view of Prague’s skyline, the Above Rooftop is the ultimate destination. Open during the warmer months, this seasonal terrace serves refreshing drinks, delicious food, and curated music, making it a prime spot for relaxation and socializing.

A World-Class Immersive Experience at Minus One

Nestled in the basement, Minus One offers an immersive cocktail experience curated by award-winning mixologist Jan Šebek. Guests can explore the space, which includes a premium cocktail bar, an intimate performance venue, and a hidden speakeasy. The warm, golden tones of the décor and the gold-plastered ceiling create an inviting atmosphere for social gatherings and private tastings.

A Serene Sanctuary at AWAY Spa

The AWAY Spa at W Prague offers a serene escape from the vibrant city. Guests can unwind at the WET pool or indulge in the thermal suite, featuring a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and the immersive All Seasons Water Journey, which mimics the sensations of all four seasons. The spa also includes a beauty bar, five treatment rooms, and luxurious services such as the De-Stress massage, designed to relax both body and mind.
