  1. Well they’ve the signed the contract for the design and build for the spur from Cardiff Central to the Bay for all our lords and masters in the Senedd.

    I’ve resigned myself to the fact that this will be used as spin that they are getting on with the SW Metro, In reality, I don’t expect to see any further developments in my lifetime. As an example, the WG are letting Cardiff Parkway station, an integral part of the metro, die on the vine.

  2. I’m out of the loop, what have (or haven’t?) they done? My only exposure to the project is the trainline near my house which they have electrified. I’ve started seeing electrified trains going along it recently

    To be honest I’ve met too many Profs who I wouldn’t trust to tie their own shoelaces let alone plan a metro system I can’t help but think that this might well be a good thing.
