6. She’s lost before she started. Georgescu is hitting all the right spots in order to win a fear mongering campaign. Patriotism, God, end foreign influence and uplift the Romanian peasant. Not to mention Elena’s last name alone will alienate voters.

10. One looks smart the other looks dumb. Sadly Kremlin Georgescu can win because Lasconi is one of the weakest presidential candidates we’ve ever had. Her speeches are downright atrocious.

14. That’s a very nice gesture from Maia! They’re sending a strong pro-european message and I wouldn’t have thought that two women presidents would lead Romania and Moldova through these muddy waters and threats that we’re facing.
    I hope this is the beginning of a bright history page of the two sibiling countries.
