The Nordic NATO countries are preparing for a possible war with Russia. The Kremlin has repeatedly hinted that one of them could be the next target after Ukraine. Therefore, the countries bordering Russia are strengthening their borders and developing new technologies.

Yes but why would russia want war with nato if they can barely fight ukraine (not shitting on ukraine here just looking at this sensibly)
I’m no expert in this but this WW3 idea does not make a lot of sense to me.
I might be wrong but this looks like a major bluff from russia.
They can’t take ukraine in years and are struggling even on their own territory, if just a few nato countries entered the conflict they will be prepared, not even all of nato.
The flow of weapons would be different and the pace of the war would be at another level, heavy bombers and other things like aircraft carriers would be deployed in seconds and all strategic russian war assets would be targeted on just the first hours of the conflict, if putin thinks he can have a war on someone elses land he would be very wrong.
The nuclear threat also makes zero sense he could be obliterated if he uses just 1 nuke.
Im just not sure if this is russian bluff or nato propaganda.
In fact with the new pact with north korea all i can see is russia and north korea vanish.

Joke aside though. As a european, i’m waiting for our politicians to start taking this more seriously though. Ukraine needed our help not just like yesterday(!), and we failed them in 2014, and we’re still dragging our feet. I don’t know what will happen in January, but something WILL change. I hope they starts to understand we need to be prepared to help Ukraine on our own.
russia is acting like they are willing to attack NATO so that it ***looks like*** they still have reserves to wage a war. It’s solely to keep the charade of them being powerful, nothing more. If russia went silent and didn’t bark like a annoying little dog, they think it might give a signal that they are weak but they don’t understand that nobody wants to attack russia! It’s sad pit of misery and corruption and no invader would gain enough from there to warrant the brutal war it would cause. russia is barely keeping together as is, they are not a threat and nobody is threatening them … except their own citizens.
Start digging trenches–and I mean…10 meter deep trenches, or deeper. Rows of them, stacked; then another set every 250–500meters. Talk to your country’s tankers, and IFV/APC drivers. Get their input for what manner of obstacles they hate the most.
Have strong, yet command-collapsible bridges for these mega trenches. Plant weather-proof explosives in the trench walls & floors–like Claymore mines on steroids. Don’t just build these trench systems on your border with Russia; but as much of your border as is feasible. The Russians will try to by-pass the worst of them like Germany avoided the Maginot Line by way of Belgium.
Be safe, be devious, think this through while you have the time.

Ruzzia has a 100 million people and nukes. They will send meatwaves and artillery to anyone direction and eventually take your shit. They already reconnected Moscow to Crimea over land. I’m not a fan just explaining how they operate. Life doesn’t matter to them.
