2. Putin so far didn’t really wanted peace, his ‘requirements’ for starting peace talk weree basically asking Ukraine to surrender so utter nonsense.
   Als the Ukrainians are very aware that any ‘freezing of the conflict’ will mean millions of their citizens ending up under Russian rule in the occupied territories, and a huge risk of Russia just rebuilding their military and trying to conquer the rest of Ukraine in a few years.

   However that lately the Russian Propganda the last weeks are trying to push the ‘WW3 scare’ lseems to signal Russians are getting desperate now to end the conflict while they have decent positions on the battlefield atm.
   This signals they are aware their military and economy are under great stress and they need to get a deal done now while they can appear strong.
