  1. >Three-quarters of Germans want their government to take tougher measuresto combat price rises, and 31% said they would support keeping nuclearpower if it would stabilize electricity prices, according to a poll by the price comparison service Verivox. The study surveyed 1,000 people aged 18 to 69 across Germany inSeptember 2021 and was representative of the population in terms of age, gender and the German state of residence. **That statistic represents an 11% increase in support for nuclear power since 2018.**

  2. 2 thirds of the German population are still against Nuclear, and the Green are in power…

I think Nuclear could be a truly good Energy source for the EU, but thinking Germany will invest into it is delusional.

  3. No since it is too costly. Takes too much time to built.

Instead focus on expanding that renewable energy targets above 75% (now at 45%) and go all in on storage.

  4. Germany will always be in favour of nuclear power…

    …unless it’s in their neighborhood.

Look Bavarias CSU… big fan and huge crybaby when the complete shutdown was announced. (And still not really accepting the fact.)

But when the discussion about the permanent waste storage was re started just after Asse scandal went public, and the suggestion came up, that granite formations like those in Bavaria might be a good place to put the waste… oh boy… the question was not even at the question mark and there was a screeching nein, nein, nein coming from the south…
