Actor Ilkka Villi, best known for his role as Alan Wake in games by Finnish game studio Remedy, joined a live tv marathon yesterday where dozens of performers read a seminal historical Finnish novel Unknown Soldier aloud. This live audiobook show took 17 hours in total, an amazing example of Nordic slow tv. Villi was very good! The whole show is available on YLE Areena to stream.
Happy independence day, everybody 🥲

  1. I didn’t even realize it was Alan Wake’s actor! It was super chill listening the reading, fell asleep while it played on the background.

  2. Ilkka Villi has read a lot of audio books. Hearing him makes me all warm and fuzzy. Worth noting former president Sauli Niinistö started the reading marathon.

  3. God damn it, Alan, now we’ll have another continuation war.
