  1. Aww, I wanted to go see the bear in the little car. Doo doo doodoodoodoo doo doo doooo doo

  2. Was this really the right decision?

I’m all for taking action against Governmental figures, but this seems like punishing them for being simply being Russian. Very reactionary.

  3. Did we do this with American companies when they where bombing the shit out of half the Middle East

  4. This was the right call. They didn’t say it but I’m willing to bet this was a safety measure as much a political statement. If it had happened odds are someone in the audience would have caused shit, bringing a Ukraine flag and started shouting.

  5. Nothing to do with racism. The Russian government prides itself with their cultural and sporting achievements. All Russian teams, national and international, should be banned from tournaments. All Russian athletes should be banned for all sports, gymnastics, tennis, ice hockey, etc. The purpose is to put pressure on their government, especially internal, and show that their warfare has consequences on all levels.

  6. I think it’s the right call, not so much to punish people or an organization, but because if they didn’t there would have been reactionary articles of “tone deaf dcu allows Russian ballet to continue despite current events”

  7. Well because there is a difference not purchasing goods from an country, basically sanctions ,and discriminating against the people of that country in ballet

  8. I hope they also offered every person in that company the option to not go back to Moscow if they so choose. We should support everyone who isn’t on board with this invasion and give them a choice to not have to return to Russia.

  9. I wonder how many American artists were banned while USA bombed Iraq against UN

The Russian dancers aren’t the ones to blame. This is ridiculous

  10. Stupid decision 🙄 punishing people for their countrys policies…what about israel? What about USA 🇺🇸 🤔 if this is the case we should ban all americans because they are the biggest AH to all countries…they are only country to use nuclear weapons on people (yugoslavia) what about dombass region being bombed for 14 yrs but we don’t care until now…what about NATO and america breaking the agreement they had…bullshit media running countries again

  11. i too blame a multi cultural slavic ballet group (which includes ukrainians) for the actions of a small man with a warped view of the world.
im glad we are seeing this type of reaction but keep the same energy the next time america does it or about palestine or tigray

  12. I think people are missing that the Ukrainian and Russian dancers may not have even wanted to perform under the current circumstances, they could be losing friends and family members to the invasion as we speak. the decision was likely made in consultation with the entire cast, whoever is the stage manager and director currently accompanying them. Instead of making speculation and criticising the box office, encourage the dancers to speak out about how they’re feeling. Arts revolves around culture and current events, it would not even be fair to expect a dancer who might be undergoing such horrific loss and stress to perform at their best ability, especially a production as strenuous as Swan Lake. If you guys want to support the individual dancers, you can do so in other ways that aren’t live productions, like donating, taking classes if they are offering any, liking and sharing their posts on social media etc.
