I always get down-voted to oblivion for this; however the NHS needs significant reform. The system is a joke and the mismanagement is not something that throwing money at it will fix. It needs completely ripped up and start anew.
Every time I go to the doctor’s, any investigation requiring scans they default with “do you have private medical insurance”.
My private medical insurance meant a tumor being passed off as a raised lymph node for years was removed privately following proper consultation and in investigation. Funny enough by an NHS consultant.
Still thankful we have the NHS. For kids they are great. For a man in his 40’s they are not so great.
Poor guy , certainly could have lived
I’ve been waiting over 3 years for critical surgery.
We don’t have a functional Healthcare system in this country whatsoever. Yeah in the US you’ll be bankrupt for stubbing your toe etc if you’re not insured, but at least you can actually see a fucking doctor, or get an ambulance when you need one.
