1. Hilarious. And sad. So basically the two biggest menaces to worldwide waters – the Chinese fishermen, destroying ecosystems worldwide, and the Somali pirates, harassing ships for ransom, met each other…

   How the actual fuck is it profitable for Chinese ships to go that far though? It’s like… 8 000 kilometers away from China. Are they working locally? Is it profitable enough to work that far away from China even

   Not gonna lie, my flair was picked as pirates are big in Somalia…..

   So I have to comment something. 

3. Story was that Somalian pirates are actually fishermen who haven’t been able to find fish in their normal areas and became pirates because of the lack. They hit the right target this time.

4. Chinese navy has a base in Djibouti. Maybe they’ll go for their own Captain Phillips move? AFAIK Chinese Naval Special Forces haven’t done too much combat in their modern incarnation. It will be interesting to see how they handle it.
