Bullshit baffles brains, so there’s no reason why the right can’t win in Wales
What if they’re wrong, and you’re right?
As inconceivable as it is, people are feeling betrayed by Labour and many don’t distinguish between Welsh and UK Labour. Cue Nigel f*cking Farage coming to Wales to promote Reform. UK wide they are already ahead of Labour in the polls. I think there’s more likelihood of Reform eating into Labour support than the Tories and they are far more of a problem. The silent majority in Wales don’t feel listened to and so Welsh Labour need to wake from their slumber of security and recognise that the views of the electorate need to be heard rather than doggedly sticking to an agenda they believe is right, or we will end up with a populist surge.
Plaid needs to up their game for heaven sakes. Get out there and also break away from the idea many of us down in the S.E have of them being a Welsh speaking party, and move to being seen as a Welsh Socialist Party.
I remember that Abolish party and see Reform LTD as another bunch of useless blow hards.
The media are doing their best right now to make it happen. Labelling everything that isn’t arsehole right wing bigoted views as woke. Mr Farage can look like the messiah to the idiots if the media make it that way.
They’re winning everywhere else, so why not here?
Hopefully.
If his mate Musk gave him a few quid then definitely could get in as money talks and he would out spend Plaid by millions.
I think people are bored of Labour.
All you have to do is look at the voting figures at the last elections to see Reform did say better than expected. Now the Tories are dead in Wales I can imagine all their die hard voters will choose Reform instead
Meaning Reform party?
A far right English nationalist party..If people are that stupid.
Being Welsh and voting Reform is deeply unpatriotic
If the left ignores problems people face and offers no alternatives, then yes.
What’s more likely is Plaid Cymru win thanks to reform eating into labour’s support. But it will be kind of a hollow victory like Labour in the general election as it will be winning by default rather than actually winning.
Welsh labour is totally out of control. They have betrayed us all. I live in Newport (someone’s got to!) whole sale destruction of this place, no accountability from Welsh labour. It’s like we’re just farmed for our tax money. I’m embarrassed I ever voted for them. NO I’ve never been a Tory, before you all start.
Labour has been a disaster for years, being a one party country means they can just keep getting away with failure
Reform in Wales whilst there’s a Labour government in Westminster would make for a *very* interesting debate on Welsh nationalism/more powers for Wales. Traditionally the right in Wales has been very anti devolution, but with Labour in Westminster, I think this would change. You’d get welsh reform asking Labour for more power.
And would uk Labour push back and refuse?
As much as reform are grifters, this could go very wrong for Labour. And I’m not sure what the alternative is.
People the world over like to blame others for their troubles, so the right can win anywhere.
Unfortunately yes.
Welsh labour are far from perfect but there are too many idiots in this country who will change their vote over something as trivial as speed limits.
