Is there some law that doesn’t require surgeons to maintain a standard of care during the entire procedure? Or is this just an insurer saying they won’t pay the hospital because the surgeon took beyond the normal time? This is where a medical court system like the UK has would be really useful to work this out. There’s a lot of talk about insurers lately, how come the hospitals are getting a pass.
It’s working. Apparently, that’s how you get corporate executives to listen to the public. Voting sure doesn’t work. Neither do petitions or shaming them and I doubt protests that they could simply ignore had much of an effect either.

I imagine the CEO thinking of how much more money they could make having millions of people paying premiums if only they didn’t have to cover anything.
