I believe they should call them feedback loops.
Tipping point is useful for scientists to understand as Climatic homeostasis generates flatter slopes of changes until those tipping points get hit which then causes major shifts. Scientists realize this but politicians and the general public don’t. This causes them to downplay effects (“these changes are gradual – see? Only 1.5 degrees There’s nothing to worry about”).
It’s over. US will never recover after these 4 years. Just find a quiet space in a northern state and pack it in.
