Hi there!
I'm going to move to Norway in 6m-1y time and I can't figure out what the correct way of calculating the NET pay. I know my GROSS will be 7,200 EUR per month but so far 5 websites have given me different results:
salaryaftertax – 57570.00 NOK – 4893.45 EUR
no.talent.com – 56805.42 NOK – 4828.46 EUR
relocate.me – 56440.00 NOK – 4797.40 EUR
skattekalkulator – 57570.00 NOK – 4893.45 EUR
no.icalculator.com – 54489.89 NOK – 4631.64 EUR
Can anyone please help me understand the differences? Tusen takk!

It depends on a lot of things. Have a go at this of you haven’t tried it. https://www.skatteetaten.no/person/skatt/skattekalkulator/
From the “IRS”.
Google translate
I assume that the differences will be due to different assumptions or inputs regarding deductions and any other modifications to your taxable income. For example, some of the sites may not have updated their variables after any changes.
I’ve only ever used Skattekalkulator. https://www.skatteetaten.no/person/skatt/skattekalkulator/
It’s run by the tax authority so it should be up to date.
This is the official tax authority’s tax calculator. https://www.skatteetaten.no/en/person/taxes/tax-calculator/
You can enter your yearly income here and it will tell you how much tax you’ll pay in a year. You can then divide it by 12 and deduct that from your monthly gross.
Seems 2 and 3 might be taking out the mandatory 2% pension contribution already. So those would be closer to what you’d get on average ignoring other deductibles, and there would be some variation due to the ridiculous Norwegian holiday pay system.
