Cathy Kelly brings the glam at Breast Cancer Ireland lunch

Cathy Kelly made sure to bring the glamour as she lapped up an afternoon of style at the Breast Cancer Ireland Christmas lunch in Dublin.

The renowned Irish author was diagnosed with HER2 breast cancer in July 2023 and has since undergone rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

She appeared to be in flying form on Friday and was looking especially glam as she turned out for the lunch which was also attended by Elaine Crowley.

The ritzy lunch was hosted at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant and Cathy was dressed to impress in a chic black suit for the occasion.

She wrote alongside pictures from the day ‘annual Christmas lunch in v glam Marcos in Donnybrook with amazing women’ with her fans commenting how ‘fabulous’ she looks.

Cathy was joined on the day by Elaine who was also suited and booted for the lunch in an on-trend white skirt suit.

Elaine’s stylish look consisted of an oversized blazer and white pencil skirt with a slit to the side which she paired with a black top and snakeskin cowboy boots.

Also stepping out to support an amazing cause on the day were host Zeinab Elguzouli and stylist Laura Mullett.

Sallyanne Clarke meanwhile was elegant in a black velvet number and there was no shortage of style on show from the ladies in attendance on the day.

Those who came out to support the lunch made the effort to dress to impress and it showed.

The day began with a pre-lunch drinks reception in the courtyard before guests were invited through a festive fashion show with looks from Pamela Scott, Serena Boutique and Lorraine Keane’s Fashion Relief at Frascati Centre.

After tucking into a tasty lunch Elaine led a panel discussion with Breast Cancer Ireland CEO Aisling Hurley, Patient Supporter Avril Tierney, and Kate Gallagher who sadly lost her mum to the illness as a young child.

The room also heard from Professor Leonie Young, the Scientific Director at Beaumont RCSI Cancer Centre who spoke of emerging breakthroughs and reasons for hope.

A silent auction and raffle added to the fundraising tally and those in attendance also received luxury goody bags.
