  1. And people keep eating beef, while soy is “chemical” 🙃

  2. Donald Trump, who wants to gut the EPA, won Texas by 14 points, so good luck finding a resolution to this.

  3. Hey if you’re up for some science – doing water filtration by converting it to a mist under pressure then shocking the mist while it’s emitted into a plasma state will filter this stuff out and break it down. It’s usually the same power draw as the older A26 type incandescent light bulbs. Just takes some plumbing and electrical work at lower voltages/wattage. There’s an example that’s older from a well in Mexico where they did this to help the locals filter water without relying on a bunch of moving parts or pumps from circa 12 or so years ago

  4. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that those same Texas ranchers suing the EPA for not regulating the fertilizer also have billboards up supporting the person who wants to abolish the EPA and voted for candidates who have worked to repeal the Clean Water and Administrative Procedures Acts that they say weren’t followed.

Testing by the county revealed contamination that curiously extended from the fertilizer spread on the neighbor’s farmland across the street — to the soil and water on the Colemans’ properties, as well as their animals. Tony and Karen Coleman say their own blood is now also testing high for Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.

curious is an interesting choice of word.. like they had no idea or something.

  6. At the risk of generalizing, what do you think are the odds “Texas rancher” voted GOP (AKA the party of get rid of regulations, oversight and the EPA) as well as dutifully voting for Republican state government as well?

They might be outliers, but rural (I.e. rancher) voters overwhelmingly support Republicans. LAMF moment, in that case.

  7. Reminder for people like me concerned about PFAS in their blood – Donating blood and plasma cuts its concentration in your system
