Europe welcomes Ukrainian refugees — others, less so

  1. ***”Others”***

    – Refugees who have crossed 3+ countries to reach the EU. So evidently their goal is not the nearest safe haven, but a country with financial prosperity. The EU is not a charity obligated to improve the life standards of whoever in the world seeks it.

    – Illegal immigrants pretending to be refugees. Morrccans claiming to be from Libya, Pakistanis claiming to be Afghan, Nigerians claiming to be Somalis etc. They dump all their documentation on purpose before entering a boat. Now how many of the Ukrainian refugees destroy their documents before crossing the border?

    – Actual refugees (Syrians mostly). Here there is a true responsibility that some EU countries have neglected.

  2. What a nasty sentiment, quoting a right-wing president and conservatives to push this narrative. Europe, and especially western Europe, have been taking in millions of refugees the past decades, from all nationalities, cultures, faiths and backgrounds, fleeing war and oppression.

These incidents are not representative of European policy at all. Billions have been spent to provide housing, schooling and integration. This does not mean in any situation these incidents should not be condemned, but this kind of divisive journalism does not provide a good platform for discussion and solidarity and only sets a precedence for distrust and black-and-white thinking.

  3. Stop with this BS, every country is allowed to let in whoo they chose. If they want people who will assimilate easily, share similar values, and would not pose any threats, what’s wrong with that?

  4. Russian shills turning this into a political weapon should tell you much about how big of a “strength” multiculturalism is.
