I’m not sure if the rest of the roof is going to hold up. The gusts have only dropped by 10mph, and are due to rise again in the next hour.
Stay safe everyone, wherever you are!

  1. That’s so stressful.

Not sure I would even know where the begin to cover that up, if it were to happen to my own home.

  2. Damn!

Who ever is living there, I hope they are all okay and somewhere safe till this is all over.

  3. My worst nightmare right here. We had an oak tree fall on our house last year after a storm and our insurance now won’t cover us for any further storm damage. Actually don’t have a clue what I would do if this happened to us

  4. These are brand new flats aswell, this is insane that the whole section came away

  5. Dodgy loft conversion? Not done properly? Insurers will have a good look at that

  6. Looking at the bit of roof to the left, the house looks badly designed – big overhanging bit of roof that comes down low enough to obscure the top part of the window, that would not only block natural light but if a strong gust got under there and the roof was weakly supported it would lift the whole lot which looks to be what happened

  7. Whoever installed that light fitting needs a pat on the back
