So the Conservative government came up with this bright idea of bringing in Chinese money in exchange for energy tech.
The planned Hinkley plants in Somerset was supposed to be a tripartite deal between us, French and Chinese. But then, by Theresa May’s government, Chinese engineers were sending faulty fuselages.
Also in the deal was the Chinese state-owned nuclear plant built in Somerset. It would be owned by the CCP. It would be managed and run by by the Chinese state. In the UK.
It has been a decade of the dumbest deals UK has ever made.
Then there was the gas pipeline deal made with Russians…..
Pay attention, Libertarians. This is what happens when you get small government and privatisation.
Why tf would anyone let a CCP company have anything whatsoever to do with the generation of nuclear power in Europe?
