Fun fact, they had to renovate the renovation racks.
The bets are in. Which will be completed first: Brussel’s Justice Palace or Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia?
Let the Siesta Architecture Battle begin
I was in Belgium 8 years ago and that was the exact way it looks in the picture
Spaniards sweating rn
Haha how bad lol. How is it possible for a construction project to take so long? Haha couldn’t happen to us. So embarrasing.
Restoration is already taking 4 times longer then it took to build the thing.
To have a more objective view. The project started over 30 years ago and the plan was to do it quite fast, problem arose with funding and priorities by Flemish and Walloon political parties.
Instead of renovating the one in Brussels, they decided to build other justice palaces, such as Antwerp.
Now they made it a priority and the goal is to have it done for 2030, on time for the 200 years of Belgium.
Time will tell if Belgium will still exist by then and if the works will done.
No wonder their roads are so bad if it takes this long to renovate an old building lol
Have you heard about Sagrada Familia?
Luckily the cathedral of cologne isn’t even mentioned.
