  1. Honestly, I wouldn’t hate it. It’s the anti-vax, raw milk, de-regulation, and de-fanging of enforcement that scares me

  2. It is weird how much stuff flies in America but is banned in Europe. I won’t touch the NY Post link because it’s cancer, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some red and blue dyes on that list. I have an intolerance to both, they make my throat swell up, and I’m imagining I’m not alone in that. I can’t drink a lot of things because of it and none of them need that coloring, they just do it for marketability.

  3. Is this going to make Trump’s McDonalds meals look significantly different?

  4. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it’s definitely not **all** food dyes, that there are definitely alternatives to the banned dyes for the same colors, and that most people probably won’t notice much if any difference.

Edit: after reading the article it turns out that I was correct. The only dye implicated here is Red #3.

  5. Good. It’ll all taste the exact same anyway and I miss Crystal Pepsi.

  6. Outlawing food dyes will revolutionize American diets? The stupid is truly everywhere.

  7. Ah yes a big gov’t solution coming from the smaller gov’t party in search of a problem.

  8. Dumb headline, it’s literally only Red Dye #3, and it’s only up for review again, with no guarantee it will be banned.

  9. Until lobbyists offer Trump an offer he can’t refuse

  10. I was just saying to a friend that I’m 90/10 on RFK. This falls into the 10. Let’s do it! I’m here for it. I’m not here for wackadoo conspiracy ideas.

  11. Remember when Michelle Obama pushed for school to stop selling sodas and junk food and conservatives lost their minds?

  12. I think once Trump removes FDA’s teeth, smaller companies will just belike snake oil salesman and label their foods whatever they want. Big corps probably cut some corners but they know the next administration will just undo trump’s changes so they can’t be that drastic. It’s not worth short term sales for long term brand damage.

  13. Title is wrong. They’re deciding on Red Dye #3, which is made from *petroleum*!

  14. One of the few areas where I agree with RFK, Jr. and I say go for it.

    Broken clock and all that

  15. Plenty of natural coloring agents other countries have already enforced this… no need for artificial food dyes…

  16. Didn’t trump supporters get mad at Michelle Obama for wanting kids to eat healthier school lunches?

  17. Misleading clickbait title. Article says red dye #3. No mention of other dyes.

  18. We have such laws in Canada and still eat like shit. I’d say revolutionize is a strong word but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

  19. See this is the spot where the broken clock is right twice a day

  20. People before Trump: “ain’t no big gubbermint tellin me what I can and can’t eat! Free country!!!”

Trump happens: “WE WERE THE FIRST ONES WANTING TO CLEAN UP THE FOOD SUPPLY IN THIS COUNTRY! ONLY LIBS LIKE YELLOW 5 PENIS SHRINKING MOUNTAIN DEW!!!!!”

  21. My health is going down the tubes from eating a lifetime of fast food and sweets even as a normal BMI and being an elder statesman millennial. I’m not sure what kind of regulations could be done, but Eu type standards probably wouldn’t be a bad thing. I also wouldn’t be opposed to making classes like “how to adult” (home ec?) be mandatory every year of high school, like cooking, finance, fixing stuff and so forth. I never did learn those things growing up. More life prep and survival skills need to be taught, not just shit that prepares you for SATs and graduating.

  22. I own a CBD company we manufacture everything in house including gummies. There is absolutely no reason for a company to be using artificial dyes in anything. You can get amazing all natural vegetable/fruit derived coloring by the truck load for cheap af.

  23. How about we make decisions based on science. This constant march towards anti-intellectualism is terrifying.

  24. It won’t revolutionized American diet. It will have zero impact on anything. In addition to the science illiterate RFK Junior, FoodBabe is now involved.

  25. This is such a stupid title. How will banning a food dye “revolutionize” American diets? Companies will just switch to a natural alternative that is 2% less vibrant, and consumers won’t even notice the difference.

  26. As someone with a red #40 allergy I am all for it.

  27. Remember when Michelle Obama said we should give school kids healthy lunches and everyone lost their shit?

  28. You don’t need them, Canadian fruit loops taste better and they’re coloured with fruit juice.
