  3. FFS why are they ALWAYS “so friendly and never previously displayed signs of aggression”.

    I have huge problems with people owning them but if they are going to own them I wish they’d be responsible enough to learn about dog body language. Even with these dogs it’s very rare for one to just snap completely without any prior warning signs. Most of the time there have been warning signs that were ignored because the owner didn’t care to learn what to look for.

  6. I’m usually on the it’s the owner not the dog side but honestly, every time I hear about a dog attack it’s one of these fuckers. They were banned for a reason and obviously that’s not been enough. So yeah, liquidise then nuke them. Whoever came up with this murder machine breed has a lot to answer for.

    Some of them I know are doctors or work in care homes.

  9. The owner, friends and relatives are going absolutely mad on Facebook. Seems SYP were a bit trigger happy.

  11. This is round the corner from me and ive seen this dog out for a walk before. It was intimidating as hell.

    Also the “muzzle” they had on it was barely attached

  12. The remaining owners would protest vigorously, but it should be made mandatory for Bullies to be nuzzled in public, with stiff fines for the owners if found to be unmuzzled – perhaps even on an escalating scale

    Maybe also ask dog organisations such as the Kennel Club and vetinary professional associations to compile, keep updated and publish lists of dog breeds (and probably first generation crosses) that are more prone to aggression towards humans and perhaps also the subset more likely to cause serious harm to humans, with strong recommendations that any dog appearing on the list, particularly high up, not be sold to families or anyone without the time and space to both adequately look after them, cater to their needs, plus keep them away from other humans and other “undesirable prey”.
