I dislike the yellow and the new branding. Way to destroy the legacy and a known brand image. But that’s just like, my personal opinion, man.
Ah, Iittala. Loved for generations, from Finland to Japan. After acquiring a new leader a few years ago, everything accomplished was thrown away.
The logo font was stolen from a pub just outside the factory.
Instead of continuing the legacy of lasting classic glassware and pottery, Iittala informed its customers that there will be three to four different collections per year. Because surely everyone will replace their tableware that often.
Nordic is boring, Finns are boring. You know what’s not boring? A completely unknown, London-based underground artist with less than 30k followers. Let’s use her for the launching campaign!
Let’s shoot an ad in the ocean! Bringing glassware to the beach is always a great idea. Etc.
