Addis Ababa December 7/2024 (ENA)—Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, Marian Jurečka has arrived in Addis Ababa tonight for an official working visit.
Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, Jurečka was warmly welcomed by Director General for European and American Affairs at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zenebe Kebede as well as Protocol Affairs Director General, Melaku Bedada.
During his visit to Ethiopia, Jurečka is anticipated to meet with Ethiopia’s high-level government officials to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Currently, Ethiopia and the Czech Republic enjoy strong cooperation in various sectors, including investment, trade and education.
And in a recent interview with ENA, Czech Republic’s ambassador to Ethiopia said his country wants to boost its relationship with Ethiopia, especially in economic, social, and tourism sectors.
The Czech Republic is currently very active in supporting development projects in Ethiopia, mainly reforestation, water sanitation, prevention of soil erosion, among others, it was indicated.
