The Herald, Violence Towards Women in Scottish Schools Must be Addressed

  1. *Violence,* in schools needs to be addressed, why are we discriminating by gender here?

The problem isn’t the gender of who they victimise; it’s that they’re victimising others.

  2. First part of this mentions boys. Just ignore that women are worse bullies to women than men are or even in general.

  3. Bullying is a cancer on our society and nothing will be done about it.

  4. This is a borderline disingenuous article header from the herald.

I appreciate that society still deals with misogynistic views towards women. To quote that 70% of women experience sexual harassment is to say that we are a borderline failed society within the western world. It doesn’t help to state these figures and say the majority are not reported. This skews the facts of what has really happened and what hasn’t.

In terms of ‘violence’, which is used in what I feel like is a way to create outrage is disingenuous. Male on male violence is astronomically more common, more normalised and under reported.
