  16. If he was on that plane it was a strange choice of flight path. Torwards Turkey…. the country that allegedly helped oust him? Towards Iraq-Iran would make more sense, including if he was Russia-bound. If he wanted to be over the Med, why not turn west sooner, just past Homs, rather than continue to fly north? No fighter escort? Curious (to me, anyhow).
