   The head of the mercenaries guarding Călin Georgescu has been stopped in traffic. According to sources, several cars were on their way to Bucharest when they were stopped by the police and 20 people were taken for questioning. An arsenal was found in their cars, including dozens of bayonets and two pistols, as well as large sums of cash.
   It’s a shocking discovery made by the police, because it would be about 20 people, 20 close to Horațiu Potra, former mercenary in the Foreign Legion and supporter of Călin Georgescu, who would have headed to Bucharest last night with this arsenal. There were several cars heading towards the capital. Horațiu Potra, by the way, was in the Foreign Legion, was a mercenary and was seen on various occasions with people in Călin Georgescu’s entourage. The 20 people, including Horațiu Potra, were taken for questioning because several criminal files were opened. Firstly for the fact that they were carrying those pistols and machetes. And secondly, two of the drivers caught by the police last night allegedly tested positive for drugs. The cops are doing more checks, but there is this suspicion that Horațiu Potra’s men were drugged* while driving to Bucharest.

2. You must keep in mind that firearms are extremely rare, except hunting rifles, in Romania. And even some airsoft pistol used in public by someone is national news here. So this is very concerning for us. We don’t like guns very much. Especially not in some civilians hands.

17. The title is an exaggeration. They found 1 firearm (pistol) and 1 compressed gas pistol with a valid license. Apart from that, there were a lot of blades and “tacticool” equipment, but nothing really out of the ordinary when searching regular gang members.
