Was gonna book it for breakfast for my sisters birthday as a treat but jesus christ had a look at the reviews and this is what they are serving as an Ulster fry, I don't even want to know the price

Anyways can anyone recommend somewhere for a good breakfast in city centre 😂

  1. Where’s the rest of it??????????

    Is it a kids meal??????

  2. but but but look how they arranged it on the plate, easily worth £40 if you take that into consideration

  3. Recommend Neighbourhood! Jeez that’s pitiful

  4. That looks like utter crap, get round to Brights for a proper one.

  5. St George’s market if it’s the right day , that looks rubbish 😆

  6. The Ivy Full Ulster Breakfast 15.95
Smoked streaky bacon, Blackhill pork sausage,
potato bread, fried Cavanagh hen’s eggs, Carnbrooke black
pudding, soda farl, roast plum tomatoes, flat mushrooms
    and baked bean

Seems to be missing a lot of items. Have looked at the reviews and they aren’t great. It’s really just a chain restaurant now. Business model seems to be spending a lot of money on design and scrimping on food quality. Might work in bigger cities but think it will struggle in Belfast if it doesn’t improve on the food.

  7. Believe it or not, there is someone paid in the back to cut your pancake in half, so thats the overheads they are dealing with.

edit: oh wait is that miserable looking thing your potato bread?

  8. Had a lovely fry in Treat Street last few times I was up in Belfast.

  9. Going in January and I hope they put more on my plate than that

  10. The ivy is shite went to the one in Dublin, asked for rare steak came back over cooked, also weren’t the managers pocketing the tips? Nope never again.

  11. I really miss being able to sit at Cafe West in Castle Street. Used to be the best breakfasts and sandwiches in the city centre.

  12. Disappointed to hear it’s not great – I’ve been to the Ivy in Dublin and the OG in London, and thought both of them were lovely

  13. The Windmill cafe is great for a fry. Not a little bit fancy, but proper food on the go.

    On Church Lane.

  14. Best place for a quality breakfast in nice surroundings is Harlem Cafe in Bedford Street, across from the Grand Central Hotel.. can’t recommend it enough.👌🏻

  15. Does nobody realise this reviewer asked for no mushrooms, tomatoes, beans or black pudding? And is anyone really surprised that they didn’t get extra portions of everything else? Meat and diary products are much more expensive than veg, and black pudding is dirt cheap also.
Complaining about this is like asking for no veg with your Sunday roast and complaining that you didn’t get 6 portions of beef.

Also I’ve never been and probably never will because I wouldn’t pay £16 for a fry to begin with. What a sad sack going to a fancy restaurant to eat something they could make in 15 minutes hungover in their own kitchen

    Tldr: meat is expensive

  16. ThatS not the full fry. I’ve had one recently..was way more food than that. I couldn’t finish it. It tasted fine nothing special. The biggest issue was the size of the tables. 3 for breakfast at a tiny table. Couldnt fit all the plates cups etc on it. Felt very cramped. Also totally empty restaurant when we arrived for breakfast. As people came in seated us all together in one area. Almost on top of one another. Nice attentive staff though. Ok for a once off
