  1. Looks like Brexit luckily didn’t really affect the financial sector. That’s good news.
    > “We’ve also seen tens of thousands of jobs being created on the fintech side of the City which has made any job losses or job relocations on the Brexit side relatively insignificant in the overall scheme of things,” he said.

  2. Bexit has fucked a lot of things up. In today’s age gobalization is the way to go, no one country can do it all and stay cost effective.

  3. Even this number is wrong. It lists the jobs that got closed because of Brexit, but it ignores the actual amount of jobs total within the sector.

The financial sector has grown a lot bigger since brexit. Even now, there are 40% more jobs available in the sector than prepandemic. 33,000, just in a single year. [Source](https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/london-financial-vacancies-jump-40-pre-pandemic-level-2022-01-17/)

Nobody who knows even a slight bit about this, ever believed the hype places like this subreddit ejaculated over, when you all said a million jobs would be lost, that London’s financial centre status was over.
