New Zealand international wingback Liberato Cacace has scored his first goal in Italy’s top-tier Serie A, helping his Empoli club to a 4-1 win at Verona.
Cacace’s goal gave his side a three-goal lead against relegation-threatened Verona, with his shot from just inside the penalty area taking a deflection on its way into the net.
Empoli move into ninth place on the 20-club table after the win.
