  1. Good. It’s about time. Tell the Republican house and senate to go ahead and write up a bill raising the minimum wage above $7.25.

  2. Someone needs to clip that part at the end where Trump says “the cost of living is really low” and show it to everyone in those 19 minimum wage states who voted for him.

  3. “Sure I’ll consider raising it. Sure. How about $7.26 an hour? That’s what I call the art of the deal.”

  4. No one, including Trump, knows what he’s going to do next. He’s incapable of strategic thinking and has no real policy objectives beyond enriching himself, punishing enemies and basking in flattery. Dude will publicly “consider” a thousand different things and then rule in favor of the last person he talked to. And then change his mind again or fuck up the implementation or God knows what.

  5. Trump HATES being confronted so in situations that may cause a disagreement from which he can’t walk away screaming, he chooses to “maybe agree in an ambiguous manner”. He knows ultimately he will never be held accountable for anything he says or does.

It’s just a symptom of his emotional immaturity and general inability to speak off the cuff with any nuance on policy.

We clearly saw this during debates after which he announced that the debates weren’t fair and Harris received questions on policy in advance. Policies which he had a job overseeing for four years of his presidency.

  6. What’s crazy is that democracy seems alive even though trump is elected and people are already talking about the next election.

Someone must have hit defib on democracy because I thought democracy dies with Donald Trump

  7. How’s he gonna do that, executive order? Congress won’t do that.

  8. Its weird because it’s not really the cost of living that’s the problem or our wages, just that our purchasing power sucks compared to what we want to buy. Basically we need cheap land and bids that only the American people can bid on for the federally owned land. We need to start with that and then work on making a sound a currency. A 100K doesn’t buy anything but in WW2 it would be enough to fund the enigma project or open a department store.
