From what i hear there is usually big delays in processing asylum applications, but maybe the new scheme they have going could help them move it along faster.
Great news. Wish I could help with the info side of things. Im sure government/embassy links will fill in the gaps.
Best of luck with it, hopefully your parents get the asylum process dealt with quickly. I know it can be long at times due to the amount of applications but I’m hoping they will speed it up for Ukrainian citizens. Best of luck, sorry I’ve no more information to offer other than best wishes
Would they not look for asylum in Poland?
It’s very easy you just go to the international protection office and sign on. And they will provide you with accommodation if necessary.
No advice, but very glad they’re safe Hope they can get here soon 💛

Hi, sent you a DM. Am happy to help.
This may be different due to the current waiving of the visas, but this is the usual form that an asylum application takes: At your first port of entry to Ireland, state that you are seeking asylum. You may have a short interview in the airport and then later you will fill out a large questionnaire. You will then have an in depth interview. It is imperative that you put as much information as possible in your questionnaire. You can get extra pages to tell your whole story. I don’t forsee any problems when coming from Ukraine – that is very clearly a refugee crisis. In general, minor inconsistencies between the two interviews and questionnaire can and will be used to undermine your credibility, as will the absence of important information in your questionnaire. Wishing you the best of luck in getting your parents home
Why don’t they just apply for the new visa scheme instead of looking for asylum?..If they are just looking to get to safety this would be the easiest route.
They have 90 days on the waiver then the rest is through the dept of justice.
To clarify: This link is not my family (I’m a Yank) but the family of a man whose tweet I came across on Twitter. I am in contact with Anton via Twitter and have told I have linked his request here on Reddit. He is currently developing a website where you can go to offer help.

May I also suggest you contact Anton via Twitter (as I did) if you have an account? His DMs are open.
Maybe call the immigration unit at the airport and ask them what to expect etc. I deal with them weekly and they’re sound.

Is the number for the airport, they’ll be able to connect you to immigration.
