  1. In other words; the people who take more and contribute less are feeling great, and the people who contribute more but take less are feeling bad.

  2. Republicans must be really gullible and easy to manipulate. Other than right wing messaging…nothing has changed.

  3. This is just them having optimism for the future since Trump won. But the economy isn’t out of the woods yet and if Trump does what he campaigned on it sounds like prices will go up and people won’t feel as good when they can’t afford to buy stuff.

  4. Hmm. What campaign promises have been broken already? Something about not touching our social safety nets. Or playing with soldiers’ benefits. His nominees are abusers and rapists.

General competency would be far too high a bar..

  5. Election is over. Dems were telling us the economy was great. Now they are worried? In an election year, the only ‘truth’ you experience in regard to the economy is how well you are able to put food on your own table.

I understand the Tariff concerns, but politicians on both sides say a LOT of things that don’t happen.

  6. More MSM drivel fed to the ignorant to further divide Americans from recognizing the threat of the Oligarchy and the further institutionalization of fascism in the American Government.

Did CNN just make up this story?

    >“It’s not that they belong to different realities. They are looking at the same reality. They just don’t agree on the implications of policies.”

And why is that? Because the Oligarchy doesn’t want us to recognize how they are in control.

  7. It’s because we know what’s coming.

    1. Trump raises tariffs to offset the $4t in billionaire tax cuts that are about to expire (a trap he set for a Democrat and which ended up springing on himself)
    2. This spikes inflation because we’re the ones who pay for tariffs.
    3. Inflation spikes and the Federal Reserve cranks interest rates to fight it.
    4. Money is now harder to borrow causing businesses to turn to layoffs instead of loans in lean weeks (yes, businesses run their books that close)
    5. Mass layoffs cause the recession Biden artfully and skillfully avoided.

If the news media had explained all this to voters we wouldn’t be in this mess.

But they’re owned by billionaires, and the billionaires want that $4t dollars of your money paid for by the national sales tax that is tariffs.

    And they’re gonna get it.

  8. Wow, they are not even in charge yet and all the sudden the economy is great? Brainwashed

  9. I’m not going to trust polls or CNN’s take on consumer sentiment, they got the election wrong.

I don’t give a shit about how people feel. I will wait for economic data and plan accordingly. This is just click bait..

  10. Obama fixed Bush’s disaster presidency….then Biden fixed Trumps first disaster. Whis gonna save us now?

  11. That’s because Republicans are either delusional or stupid.

  12. It’s frustrating to watch the media say “it’s all about the economy” when their views on the economy are mostly based on political party. With each election the party sentiments immediately flip flop.

  13. Related to this confidence point- I just put my emergency fund in the stock market a month before the election and it’s been pretty lousy since then compared to what I could get elsewhere (1.5% so far) – is this normal or did I join at a really dumb time? I mostly do trackers but do have some NVDIA stock. Thanks

  14. One of my favorite go-tos with MAGA supporters crying about how “they need to drain the swamp” and that “you can buy the government its so corrupt” – is using the response “And who do you think pays for it because it’s clearly not you or I?”

    Gets em every time
