Nothing worthwhile to add, other than I first read this as “massacres” and thought that sounded quite spicy for an Edinburgh Council leader…

Good. There shouldn’t be any tolerance for that behaviour, and people need to act like the leaders we expect them to be.
Some of the reaction to this story is kind of interesting, from a generalised perspective.
The allegations here are about abusing his position, and exploiting vulnerable people, which is serious wrongdoing.
But from a generalised situation… are councillors and other politicians expected to be married or celibate for their time in office ? That would be a rather old-style attitude, would it not ?
Compared to other public figures, such as a bunch of TV and music industry figures, and the papers are full of gossip about who is dating who, who has broken up etc., and nobody seems to care about their relative promiscuity.
I read that title like there was going to be a day for Cameron’s and somehow it’s backfired and he’s to go, turns out it’s a dude called Cammy day silly me.
