I found these stamps to be absolutely stunning and was wondering where one goes to pick up these stamps. I couldn’t find any information on the online Deutsche Post website nor or at my local post office in Berlin.

Appreciate the guidance and perhaps process if anyone can share since I would like to start collecting such stamps with history

An excerpt from the article
“Mahbuba Maqsoodi, the first female artist ever to have an artwork chosen for the special German Christmas stamp, was born in Afghanistan, and lives in Munich. The stamp is the first to feature artwork made by a contemporary living artist.”

The Maqsoodis and their two young sons arrived in Munich in 1994 as refugees, and were quickly granted asylum. They have long been German citizens

For her, the "Christmas window" of the Tholey Abbey church series — now just five years old — is an image of "heavenly light." It is this window that was chosen for the special Christmas stamp. "The path of interpretation is free. That's the beauty of any artwork," she says

  1. I would ask your local post shop or Postfiliale if they have them.
