SS: HTS and the former Assad regime PM have appointed the Syrian Salvation Government PM to form a transitional government.
He seems to be pretty technocratic and not a military figure, so hopefully it leads to a civilian run government that can actually pull off democracy.
But this is the Middle East so don’t hold your breath.
If the transitional government reaches out to the Kurds and Israel for peace talks, that would be a pleasant surprise… I will continue to dream until reality kicks in shortly
