  1. not operating in fantasy world but somehow a €126,000 Toureg is ok ? How about pricing your cars at the correct budget brand orice level.. maybe you’ll see sale growth then

  2. Management completely failed the strategy for VW. Stopped affordable cars and instead ventured into Audi territory (a company they own). Plus they jumped on the electric car train way too late and half-heartetly.

All of the current issues could have been prevented by management.

  3. These idiots saw the writing on the wall years ago. They could’ve been first into EVs, and could’ve concentrated on profitable models instead of building exotic cars and SUVs.

Just like the big three in the US during the seventies, they failed to change with the times.

  4. We’re not living in a fantasy world…we’re living in a world where the CEOs churning out record company profits act like you’re asking them to run a charity when it comes to employees ask for a living wages.

  5. Volkswagen updated their projected profit for the year at 18 billion euros ($19 billion USD), so of course the next step is to fire as many workers as possible /s. Their executive suite has had a 15-25% increase in their salary every year for the last 5 years (at least), but their plan is to cut all non-c-suite employees salary by 10%. Beatings will continue until moral is improved.

  6. Volkswagen management should work on a non profit basis for years for all the scandals they produced

  7. Seems like everyone’s making a copy paste of large SUV cars based on market data but no one is actually innovating.

  8. Company definitely is operating in a fantasy world. The one where you close your eyes and ears and imagine a world where your strategy and vision make sense.

  9. I mean after seeing how the healthcare industry got shook, always a simple solution to the bad CEO

  10. Imagine if management owned the decisions that were made and accepted that profit may not be what was projected. What I’d love to see some accountability. You can’t ell me that these execs couldn’t go a couple years without an increase or bonuses so that they wouldn’t have to lose the workforce that allowed them to prosper. How great would it be to hear of a company with morals and decency.

  11. People that wealthy build their homes to literally live in a fantasy world.

  12. Every single company seems to be having record profits, giving raises to executives, and doing layoffs. At some point the system is gonna collapse, right?

  13. Oh really? Their diesel tests sure operated in a fantasy world.

  14. Some of you may starve, but that, is a risk I’m willing to make.

  15. So they slap a huge tariff on Chinese imports for all Europe so they can compete domestic , then say they now need to close the plants to build in Chinese to compete

So lift the tariffs then ?

  16. Pretty sure they use to make 50% of their profits from China, and now that every 6 in 10 cars sold in China are NEV’s that are affordable and packed with features, I don’t think VW can compete against Chinese EVs anymore since VW were late to the EV train.

  17. The diesel emissions/performance standards ordered by previous the VW group management were certainly a fantasy world (in the real world they were called fake or fraud)

  18. If that CEO is making more than $1m he also needs to come out of the fantasy world with a huge pay cut like the rest of the administration.

  19. Didn’t VW have issues where they faked their emissions on their vehicles to get certified?

  20. Wasn’t volkswagon trying to operate in a fantasy world when they created the software to cheat on emissions testing and pretend that the car would operate in an ideal world.

  21. Hey someone should ask that CEO what the deal was with those diesel emissions again.
Because boy that sure sounded like some quality fantasy shit!
