Local leaders to gather for Sunnyside’s business advisory council kickoff Wednesday
Sunnyside, Wash. — Sunnyside will be holding the first meeting of its new advisory council this week.
The new Sunnyside Business Advisory Council was made to attract members of the business community who want to see Sunnyside become a better place. Sunnyside’s city manager Mike Gonzalez says the point of this council is engagement.
“So what I want to do is make this a consistent group meeting where business leaders, community leaders, stakeholders, have that opportunity on a monthly basis to meet with myself city council people, the police chief, the fire chief, and city stakeholders that we can take that information, glean from it, and see how we can make some adjustments to make the business community, a lot better,” said Gonzalez.
The meeting will be held Wednesday December 11th at 12 pm at the Sunnyside fire department conference room located at 513 south 8th street.
