  1. > “I have so many feelings about it that I don’t even know how to articulate,” Hathaway told WWD about joining her third Nolan movie. “It fills me with so much joy … I love Chris and Emma Nolan so much, and to be invited into their world [is] one of the best places you can find yourself. Getting to be invited twice really felt like something, three felt like it would’ve been greedy, so I never let myself hope that that would happen, and that it has makes me emotional, to be perfectly honest. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right”

    > “A lot of people wouldn’t give me roles because they were so concerned about how toxic my identity had become online,” Hathaway now told Vanity Fair. “I had an angel in Christopher Nolan, who did not care about that and gave me one of the most beautiful roles I’ve had in one of the best films that I’ve been a part of.”

  2. So many times have I seen her talk about her toxic identity and how Nolan took a chance on her. Though I have never known anyone in real life that disliked her.

Have other people seen this or is it possible that she is being a bit self-conscious? I’ve always heard good things about her.

  3. She can’t act and Nolan’s casting was getting worse every film until Dunkirk. Probably just easy to work with.

  4. She did Les Misérables the same year as the Dark Knight rises. She was doing fine without him.

  5. I was a PA on Insomnia. Nolan and wife and brother were good to work under. All department heads liked working on that movie. Most positive film experience for me.

Mostly Nolan and his immediate crew stuck to themselves and were very calm and focused. Usually some point in a movie the director has a screaming fit over somebody telling them what they can’t do.
