I think Riktor is trying to get more than 62% of students to explicitly vote against him next time while he’s the only candidate.
Back to summaries it is for me like I did pre-corona lol, fuck those 3-4,5hr lectures that you can easily study in half the time.
The main problem here is that they announced 3 weeks ago that recordings would be mandatory, everyone planned work/kot with that in mind.
What a bellend. Guess he realised it’s easier for students to watch lectures at 1.5x the speed than to go to class, waste 1h+ on travel time, sit in the lecture hall listening to stupid questions from fellow students and realise about halfway through the lecture that the professor is just going to read his slides out loud
All these lectures should be recorded and become public domain, they’re paid for by tax money after all. If that makes their jobs redundant, all the better.
Weird stance to take when KUL already said recordings+livestreams will stay.
“We want to offer the best education for our students and let them learn to the full extent” – “oh, you missed something in class? Too bad for you. That’s something you will not learn.”
I don’t know if at my university recording is mandatory but there are several teachers that I think will continue doing it even after covid because they understand that it’s convenient for us to rewatch bits and pieces later if something isn’t clear yet. Respect to those.
There is one docent I enjoy listening to
… Anyway, that teacher really puts effort into making recordings by filming with their own camcorder and uploading in high res and editing them where needed. Those are a joy to watch
