3. Absolutely don’t tell me the Syrian situation is not a coincidence.

   As Trump got elected, I was already saying his bargaining game will be Putin graceful exit from Syria and transition to US proxies vs cease fire in place in Ukraine.

   The last other Russian chip is they tiny but influent foothold in Africa. I suppose that French will be interested in the « transition » too (and the US happy to delegate as long as it blocks China there).

   European power will of course happily let Ukraine down in exchange for the return of cheap natural gas and expulsion of millions of Syrian refugees that pumped up non mainstream parties.

5. the only thing that dictates trumps day to day is his own logical reasoning machine and his ego, the outside world does not matter! zelensky is playing high stakes poker with his country and possibly his own life on the line! so survival is the game, even if ass kissinger is the tactic.

   these 2 men came into there jobs as tv celebrities, actors — but they couldn’t be more different. Zelensky came in as an ideologist with ambitions to change Ukraine from East to West. Trump came into politics as a stunt to get a better pay deal because he didn’t like Gwen Stefani earning more than him! I’d trust Zelensky moral compass quicker than Trumps.

6. Trump is a businessman. He likes winners and hates losers. It’s all about who has the better cards to play. Ukraine has more to offer to Trump than Russia. Trump doesn’t drink so Vodka won’t fly being offered by the Russians. Ukraine has some pretty rare materials and Zelensky knows this.

7. In reality, Putin only fears one US politician, and that is Hillary Clinton. Not even joking. He thinks she’s some sort of witch that can make colour revolutions happen by fiat and that she personally orchestrated Gaddafi’s bayonet enema.

8. Makes sense. Trump is an eternal wild card and China is slowly colonizing his country in at least an economic sense if not a physical one. Everyone else can’t stop fighting each other to properly stand against him if they aren’t already.

   He should fear China more. Soon the ruble won’t even be worth minting. At that point, are putin’s oligarchs really going to listen to him or the people matching their fortunes in Yuans to buy their loyalty?
